In 2010, Randy Guijarro bought a photo of Billy the Kid playing croquet for $2,

Now valued at millions, it’s the second authenticated image of the outlaw. Guijarro, a telecommunications expert, identified him through careful scrutiny. He and his wife, Linda, collectors and adventurers, plan to use the windfall for more explorations.

Their five-year investigative journey was showcased in a National Geographic special hosted by Kevin Costner.
Despite challenges, they remained dedicated. Guijarro hopes to use the money for a new car, adventures, and future treasure hunts.

The photo is insured for $5 million by Kagin’s Inc. and seeks a private buyer. They aim to share discoveries and sustain the thrill of exploration.
