Kirk Cameron, 53, is now a grandfather after his daughter, Ahna Cameron Bower, welcomed a baby girl with her husband, Austin Bower. Cameron announced the joyful news on Instagram, sharing a series of 10 images from the day his granddaughter was born.

One photo shows Cameron and his wife, Chelsea Noble, eagerly awaiting their granddaughter’s arrival at the hospital. Another heartwarming image captures Ahna in her hospital bed with her mother by her side, both beaming with happiness. In another, the new mom cradles her newborn, who is snug in a blanket with a beanie atop her head.

Kirk’s daughter Olivia Cameron, as well as his son Jack Cameron, also shared special moments with the new baby, named Maya Jeanne Noble Bower. “Our hearts are filled to overflowing,” Kirk expressed. “We can hardly wait to spend every minute with her and shower her with love.”

Kirk’s sister, Candace Cameron Bure, added, “Great aunt Candace can’t wait to meet her!!”

According to online sources, Maya’s name means “dream” or “illusion” in Sanskrit, and “water” in Hebrew. Kirk has often shared his pride in Ahna, who he describes as having a natural compassion and tenderness. “Her biggest dream is to be a good mom,” he wrote in his autobiography.
