A 17-year-old Pizza Hut employee shocked his parents by arriving home in a Porsche. “Where did you get that car?” they demanded. “I bought it today,” he calmly replied. His mom, concerned, pressed further: “With what money?”
“Well, it’s used, and I got a good deal,” he explained. “This one only cost me 20 dollars.”
His mom was incredulous. “Who on earth would sell a car like that for 20 dollars?!”
“The woman up the street,” he said. “She just moved in. She ordered a pizza, and when I delivered it to her, she asked me if I wanted to buy a Porsche for 20 dollars.”
Curious and angry, his parents confronted the neighbor, finding her calmly gardening. “I’m the father of the kid you just sold a sports car to for $20,” the dad demanded.
The neighbor, unfazed, explained, “This morning, my husband called. He ran off to Hawaii with his secretary, so I sold his Porsche and sent him the money.”
Perplexed, the mom asked, “What does that have to do with selling our son a Porsche for $20?”
Smiling, the neighbor replied, “He asked me to sell his Porsche and send him the money. So, I did.”
